No matter how widely travelled you are, there are some parts of the world that are so breathtaking, you must see them in a lifetime. Some of these are so awesome that seeing them multiple times would definitely not be overkill. When planning a vacation, some of the world’s most beautiful and visited tourist destinations are usually preferred and a number of attractions may already come to mind as you read this. However, consider planning to visit at least one place on each continent instead of going to multiple destinations in one city.

Every continent has one attraction or the other that is extremely interesting and breath-taking. If you think this would be a good idea, here are destinations according to continents, which would be absolutely great to visit.

Australia

Australia is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Even though the continent has a reputation as the most deadly because of the number of the world’s most dangerous creatures found there, Australia also has the Great Barrier Reef. This beautiful reef has 1,500 species of fish and is one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Africa

Africa is one of the most culturally varied places anyone will ever visit. All these different cultures are a part of the attraction to the continent. Other attractions include the amazing Victoria Falls that spans both Zambia and Zimbabwe, the Serengeti National park in Tanzania, and also Egypt’s Great Pyramids at Giza. These are just some of the places you can visit in your trips to Africa.

Europe

Including the transcontinental ones, Europe has about 50 countries. The first three counties on any list of the world’s most visited countries are European. The continent has such a large number of tourist attractions that it might be impossible to visit them all. The Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, La Sagrada Familia, Versailles Palace, and Stonehenge are just a few examples.

South America

South America isn’t on the list of the most visited places in the world but it sure has its fair share of attractions. The beautiful Torres Del Paine National Park is one of such in Patagonia. Located in Southwest Bolivia, there also is the Salar de Uyuni which is the world’s largest salt flat.

North America

There are quite a few places in this continent that make it such an attraction. The Grand Canyon, considered by many as one of the greatest natural sights to behold, is located in Arizona. Furthermore, there is Walt Disney World in Florida, Alaska’s Denali National Park, and also the Capilano Suspension Bridge in British Columbia.

Asia

With a population of about 4.5 billion, this is the world’s most populous continent and also the largest based on sheer size. This large continent contains quite a few attractions including the Great Wall of China, the Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and the breath-taking Mount Fuji in Japan.

Antarctica

Most people think there’s nothing much to Antarctica after the extremely icy weather, and so, most might skip this continent in their travels. However, Antarctica has quite a few attractions. Believe it or not, there’s a Deception Bay where you can actually swim because it is warmed by a volcano’s caldera. There also is the Antarctic Peninsula, Ongol Island Monument, and Ellsworth Mountains. Feel free to plan a trip there.

Russia

This isn’t a continent. However, it has been separated because Russia, the largest country on earth, lies across two different continents – Europe and Asia. For example, Russia has Lake Baikal, which is the world’s oldest and deepest lake. There’s also St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow which is probably the most visited attraction in Russia. Feel free to plan and book a trip to Russia to visit these places.

A great idea would be to visit a new continent every year for the next few years just so you can take in all the awesomeness these places have to offer.
